UNLEASHING CREATIVITY THROUGH CLAY

Hi, I'm Theresa!

I was a fairly late comer to ceramics and completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree at Plymouth College of Art in 2019. I started my Master's degree but moved to France a year later. I spent five years in France and in June 2025, came back to the UK and moved to Frome in October 2025.

I am passionate about ceramics, at the moment I am focusing on creating unique animal sculptures. However,  I also love to make slab pots, coil pots, pots made with molds, and especially love to make huge Greek inspired coil pots. You can tell a story with a pot, with the love and care you put into it as well as they way you decorate it. I love the decorating process -  you can be so creative with glazes, decals, underglazes, sgraffito, colour, raku and pit firings. The choice is endless!

I will be doing workshops for all skill levels—from beginners eager to learn the basics to seasoned potters who are looking  more for guidance or a space to explore.

The courses will have a maximum of six people as I would really like to make it a small happy family of like minded individuals. A place to make friends as well as create.

My mission is to inspire your creativity, encouraging you to experiment with glazing, form and texture to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Each class emphasizes hand building, guided by myself, to help you realize your vision in clay.

In addition to 4 and 5 week courses, I also offer seasonal workshops, which will include raku in the summer months, Christmas decorations and a course making Memory pots/urns.

Please note I am a hand builder, and do not offer courses on the wheel as I don't have one!

The photo's are of a Memory Pot I made, dedicated to a hero of mine, David Bowie.
